I picked up the New Arrival cart this weekend and used it to make the stork and congratulations tag. I folded the blanket over three times, rolled 16 pampers sz 1 diapers and tied the top off with a bow. The stork is attached using pop dots. If you have an AC Moore all carts are on sale for $44.99 including the new ones!

Cute & fun way to recycle a water bottle
Hello all! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend with family & friends (: Sorry to keep you waiting on these instructions been a very busy bee with my children. Okay so first you take your bottle and peel off the label. Then find a place where your label will cover and cut a small door, I used one of my Cricut tools the sharp square blade not sure what it is called. Next fill with all your goodies. I kept my label, traced it then cut it with my Cricut paper trimmer and finally glue or tape your label and add a ribbon if desired! My children had a blast with these, they were amazed but then went straight for the label LOL.

Georgia Tech Vinyl Project
OMG I am so glad this project is over! This was the hardest vinyl I have done so far. I used Scal & my Cricut E to cut out the logo. I first tried assembling it without transfer tape and it didn't come out good so I redid it using transfer tape and that worked horribly due to the shape of the bottle so back to the beginning here I am trying patiently to get this straight and together and finally after tons of wasted vinyl and time here it is. My father in law's gift for Father's Day. So my 2 cents is unless you have a tip for me on how to make this project go easier I will never do another water bottle again.

Wilton Candy Mold Treat Card
So a few days ago a friend of mine on Facebook (Nancy Doughty) sent me a You Tube video link on how to make this treat card using Wilton Candy Molds. I adjusted my dimensions so that my ladybug was on the card rather than a little over. I used both my Cricut E & paper trimmer. I also used Mini M&M's for the treat. My circles aren't as smooth as hers my 3 year old was not being cooperative in letting me have my hour he was testing my patience, and he ended up running away with my candy stash which led to no nap LOL. I am going to try and make another one when he goes to sleep. Click here to watch the You Tube video from Little Miss Crafter.

Hello Kitty Altered Pop Top Cans
These are 15 oz. Dole Mandarin Orange cans that I opened from the bottom using a safety can opener, and filled with candy and confetti. Once I was done filling I used tacky glue on the bottom lid and placed it on the can, make sure to put something heavy on top and let dry. I used the Plantin Schoolbook cart to cut the top circle, label, and the hearts. Once the can is dry you can tie your ribbons if you are using curling ribbon like I did make sure to hold the pop top down while curling. They were fun and very easy to make. Nice "green" way to give a gift!

My 1st Waterfall Card
I used my Cricut & Scal to cut out all the pieces but you can easily use a paper trimmer as well. I used my new Sizzix Boutique to emboss the purple card using the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder. For instructions on how to make this card visit:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/waterfall_card/
Mine isn't perfect my brads are a little uneven, I don't have a crop o dile so I just used a push pin to make the holes and the horizontal strip got a little torn but overall I think it turned out pretty cute (:
I uploaded a video at the end of the pics to show it in action.

Sizzix Texture Boutique
I am so EXCITED my daughter and I have been looking everywhere for this and the only place we were able to find it was online for about $35.00. Anyways I called AC Moore again today and they finally had two in, I used my 50% off coupon and got it for $18.50. I know that isn't the best price I heard Michael's had them clearanced after Christmas for $10.00 but they no longer have any so I think we got a good deal! Woo hoo I am so happy this thing is so super cute! Now time for me to go play (:

Too Cute Sock Ice Cream or Cupcake
So one of my daughter's friends is having a birthday this weekend and we thought it would be cute to make her one of these sock cupcakes/ice cream cones. I think mine looks like an ice cream cone. If you are wanting to make a cupcake after rolling don't pull the layers up to much. ( My daughter LOVES these socks they are the Aloe Infused and Target has them for $3.50 a pair) I used the Cricut & Scal to cut out the cupcake/ice cream cone wrapper, svg file courtesy of:

Hope you like it, I know the bday girl will (:
P.S. You can also make this as a baby gift by using 2 baby washcloths.

Cricut Markers, Crayola Skinny Pipsqueaks, Mini Sharpies & Mini Staples Gel Pens
Here is my review of the markers, I found the Cricut markers on clearance at my Walmart for $4.00 for a pack of 5 basics as you can see in the pic they look good but I wouldn't pay more than $5.00 for these. My favorite are the Crayola skinny Pipsqueaks I found them at Office Depot for about $5.00 and they came with 16 assorted colors, the pencil grips I got from Walmart for about $2.00. (They are a pain to get on but I rubbed baby powder on the pens, took the caps off then slid them on.) The gel pen and sharpie holders I purchased from Ebay seller: mybluis and they came with 12 gel pens and the holders for $28.00, I love the gel pens but as you can see in the photo the mini sharpies don't look so good. I also think having a mat just for drawing would be a good idea since there wouldn't be any cuts under your paper, I guess if you are using cardstock it wouldn't be so much of an issue. So this is my opinion if you can find the cricut markers cheap I would get them otherwise I would opt for the Skinny Pipsqueaks which I think are the best value since you get so many assorted colors. Hope this helps anyone trying to decide what to get!

Mickey Freezer Paper T Shirt
I have been wanting to do this for awhile now but just finished painting two rooms in our house a few weeks ago and couldn't stand to think about painting anything else for awhile. Anyways I had some time this morning and decided to make my 3 year old a Mickey t shirt (He loves anything Mickey) I think it came out pretty cute. Supplies needed were prewashed t shirt, freezer paper, cricut stencil, Mickey & friend Cart, acrylic or fabric paint, (I used acrylic) iron and optional hair dryer to make the paint dry faster if you need to apply more coats.
Here's what you need to do get some freezer paper place it dull side down on your cricut mat then cut out your design, (MAKE SURE TO FLIP IF YOU ARE USING TEXT) after that place the shiny side down on your t shirt then iron it smooth, next paint your stencil and wait for it to dry. Finally slowly remove the stencil. Once the paint has dried take a washcloth and cover your shirt and iron it to set, then turn the shirt inside out and iron the back of the design, this will help prevent the paint from cracking.

Twilight Glass Block Light
I went to the thrift store yesterday and found this glass block, I used Scal to cut out the Cullen Crest and Twilight Font, then added some rose petals to the inside for color, next I tied some ribbon and for the final touch added the Team Edward pin. All of my light strands are in the attic so when the hubby gets home I am gonna have him get them down and the block will be complete. Hope you like it, I think it turned out beautiful! Thanks for looking (:
You can find the svg file for the Cullen Crest here: http://mardenz.blogspot.com/2009/02/twilightcullen-crest-svg.html

Family Tree Vinyl Project
When I first started this project I didn't realize it would take 5 hours to complete! I started by using Google to find tree images, then I edited our names into the image using Microsoft Paint and cut with Scal. Used transfer tape to assemble it on the mirror. I think it came out great and looks lovely above the fireplace.

Teacher Appreciate Day Gifts
These turned out really cute! I started by inserting a floral foam ball in the planters, next I added just enough grass to cover the ball, then I cut barbeque skewers according to height and taped the flowers and candy to them. With cutting and piecing the flowers the projects only took about an hour, very easy to do and both teacher's loved them!
